Problems with the LRT reached a high point this fall, yet reflect only the tip of the iceberg of a chronically neglected and underfunded transit system. The problem is, at its root, the people who run it. Despite being a “public” system, transit management does not include any formal input from those who know best what a functioning system requires – riders and operators.
